I agree that there has to be a concept of “alpha” to describe the scale upon which men are ranked relative to each other, as hard as it is for us to define or agree upon, apparently. And leadership is an essential ingredient. Even the PUA “alpha” exhibits leadership relative to the women he seduces. I think many upper betas can be situational alphas. They don’t want it enough to fight for it, so most of the time they’re betas. But they can step up if the situation calls for it.
